Terms of service
Last updated: 31 October 2026
MacGlint is a product of Denis Kasatkin, an individual based in Poland ("we" or "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By installing or using MacGlint, creating an account or buying a license you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use MacGlint.
1. The license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use MacGlint on up to 3 Macs that you own or control, for your own use.
You may not: copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or redistribute MacGlint; reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law allows this despite this clause; remove or get around the license check; or share your license or sign-in so that it is used on more than 3 Macs.
MacGlint is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights in the software that are not expressly granted here. You keep all rights in your own files.
2. Free mode, trial and Pro
- Free. Scanning is unlimited. In Free mode you can remove up to 1 GB at a time (the total size of what you remove in one go), and some tools, such as managing startup items, are part of Pro.
- Trial. You can start a 14-day trial of Pro by signing in with your email address. A trial is available once per email address and once per Mac. When it ends, MacGlint returns to Free mode. Nothing on your Mac is deleted or locked because a trial ended.
- Pro. Pro removes the 1 GB limit and unlocks the Pro tools. It is offered as a Lifetime license (a one-time purchase) and as an Annual subscription. The price, currency and taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
3. Annual subscription
An Annual subscription renews automatically each year at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. You can cancel at any time with the cancel link in your Paddle receipt emails or in Paddle's customer portal, or by asking us at support@macglint.app. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and the subscription does not renew. When the paid period ends, Pro ends and MacGlint returns to Free mode; scanning keeps working and nothing on your Mac is deleted or locked.
4. Account and license checks
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code that we email to you. Your license belongs to that email address. MacGlint checks your license online when you sign in and about once a week after that. If your Mac is offline, Pro keeps working for a grace period of 14 days; if the license cannot be checked after that, MacGlint returns to Free mode until it can.
License checks also pick up renewals, cancellations and refunds. One license covers up to 3 Macs. You can free a place at any time with "Deactivate this Mac" in Settings.
5. Payments and refunds
Our order process is run by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record: Paddle is the seller of MacGlint to you, takes your payment and handles sales taxes and VAT. Your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, described in our refund policy. The guarantee applies to the first payment and also to each renewal payment: you can ask for a refund within 30 days of any payment. A refunded license is deactivated.
6. Updates and upgrades
MacGlint checks for new versions about once a day, which you can turn off in Settings, and offers updates inside the app.
- Founder Lifetime license. The first 100 customers to buy a Lifetime license (at the Founder price) receive all future updates of MacGlint, including future major versions, for as long as MacGlint is released and maintained.
- Every other Lifetime license includes all updates within the major version you bought (for example 1.x) at no extra charge.
- An Annual subscription includes all updates while it is active.
- A future major version (for example 2.0) may be offered as a paid upgrade.
7. You choose what is removed
MacGlint shows you what it found and removes only what you select. Removed items are moved to the Trash, but you are responsible for your choices. Please keep a backup of your Mac, especially before a large cleanup. MacGlint cannot know which files matter to you.
8. Acceptable use
Use MacGlint lawfully. Do not misuse our services: do not attempt to break or overload the license service, send automated or bulk sign-in requests, forge licenses or tokens, or use another person's email address.
9. Your data
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy. In short, your files and scan results stay on your Mac.
10. No warranty
MacGlint is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be error-free, that it will find every file you want to remove or that it will make your Mac faster. Your mandatory rights as a consumer are not affected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from your use of MacGlint, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for MacGlint in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your mandatory consumer rights, including under the law of the country where you live, are not affected.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using MacGlint at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license if you break these terms, for example by sharing a license beyond its limit or misusing our services. Cancelling a subscription ends it at the end of the paid period, and after a refund the license ends. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example 10 and 11) continue after the agreement ends.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the product changes. We will update the date above and give reasonable notice of a material change, for example on this website. If you keep using MacGlint after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland, and disputes go to the courts of Poland, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to use the courts of the country where you live and to rely on its mandatory rules.
